Silly Things

This week has been silly. While I am working out, my Evan tries to teach my trainer how to exercise! Got to love him! While I am huffing and puffing, Evan is trying to teach Mr. Brad (my trainer) how to run, lift free weights and do squats. Evan loves going to the gym! Another thing that Evan learned how to do this week is boxing on the Wii. That was a BAD move on my part! He wants to do it 24/7. I wish you could see him in action! The picture just does not do it justice! He's pretty good at it, too. Now, I just have to teach him that he can only "jab" when he is playing the Wii and not at his sister! Wish me luck with that! I will leave that up to Marc!

Ella got a potty seat stuck on her head. Don't ask. Took me a little bit to get it back off. I am not sure what it is, but she loves putting things on her head. Hats, hair bands, rubber bands (Yes, I said rubber bands! That did not last very long!), pots, pans, whatever will fit on her head. It is quite amusing. Evan will get in on it too. I had 2 small baskets that I put their Legos in and they wear those. They look like astronauts out of a very old Star Trek movie! Ella also likes to pull her hats over her eyes like that skinny dude on Fat Albert. I love they way she says "snack". It sounds more like swack. I want a swack, please. Isn't that cute! Oh, I almost forgot! The other day when we were eating dinner which consisted of turkey cutlets, green beans and salsa with strawberries for dessert for the kids, she started dipping her strawberries in the salsa! I personally think that is disgusting, but she loved it, so much so that Evan started doing it. I just had to look the other way! She is my interesting little bug!
Erin has started focusing on her hands. It is the cutest thing to watch. You can tell she is really concentrating on trying to grasp an object or just examining her fingers. She did finally grasp a toy I was holding in front of her and then she smiled so big! It was a great accomplishment for her! I am proud! She started grasping at the beginning of the week and she is getting better and better! She is such a good baby! She has to deal with two older siblings that love to smother her. Most of the time she is ok with it. I have to watch my little Ella, though, she can dish out some really tough love! The other day I heard some commotion on Erin's monitor and then noticed that it was really quite downstairs. You KNOW they are up to something when it gets quite. Every mother knows that! So, I go upstairs and Evan and Ella are in Erin's crib playing with her like see is a doll. Ok, so they had a consequence for that, but I think it is sweet they want to care for her like that.

Well, that is all I have to say about this week. Oh, the kids have had so much fun playing with our neighbors (the Gooden's and Elmore's) in the evening. Marc and I have enjoyed everyone's company! I love that we can all get together and watch all of our kids play! I love that we live in a cul-de-sac!
